(Houston, TX) - Saint Arnold Brewing Company (www.saintarnold.com), the oldest craft brewery in Texas, is among the six craft breweries participating in "Hops for Heroes." The initiative, which involves brewing and bottling Homefront IPA later this spring, will raise funds for Operation Homefront. A creation of Major League Pitcher Chris Ray and Fremont Brewing Company, Hops for Heroes began last year in Seattle. In 2012, it expands into five new markets, including Texas:

• Sly Fox, Phoenixville, PA

Johnny Cask has entered the building! We’ve retrofitted a 15 barrel tank to perfectly produce a very special cask conditioned ale (so, we have a little time to play around during winters at the Delaware coast). This beer, known as Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA is a blend of 60 and 90 Minute IPAs with a special whole leaf cascade dry-hopping session.

A premium IPA made with UK Maris Otter and crystal malt to balance a kettle hop bill of Cluster, Perle, and Tradition hops, with an added dry hop charge of Centennial and Cascade to add a genuine IPA finish. Named after the famous ‘Thunderbolt’ ski race held down the ungroomed slopes of Mount Greylock each year.

Best With: 
Great with varieties of spicy foods such as Mexican or Thai dishes, but also with sharp cheeses such as aged Cheddar.
