Beast Mode pours chocolate lab with ruby highlights. The nose is downright beastly - coffee, roast, hops, caramel. The texture is medium bodied with roasted bitterness upfront on the tongue, followed by sweet toffee and malt on the tail end. The beer finishes dry without any lingering bitterness. Lots of bark but it won't bite - just a howler and growler. Keep the fire going, and the ritual. Love your beast... It's Mad Science.
A classic Baltic Porter brewed with a variety of specialty malts for lots of chocolate and coffee notes. We also added some smoked malt for hint of smokiness. Fermented with German bock yeast, this full bodied beer comes in at 7% ABV.
Peat-smoked malt, orange peel and coffee with hints of cocoa.
First impression is the smoky flavor from the peat-smoked malt that characterizes our regular Stone Smoked Porter, followed immediately by a blast of orange peel and citrus. Cocoa and roast malt characters follow, but the orange peel is particularly prominent in the aftertaste.

FEATURING ALLEGRO COFFEE - It’s time to hike up your standard for coffee beers. This is a beer for coffee lovers! Our black porter opens with a big coffee aroma which includes caramel, cocoa and hints of blueberry. The flavor starts slightly sweet before quickly fading to roasted grain and coffee notes. The roasted grain and coffee flavors meld beautifully with a slight toffee character before being swept away by a herbal hop kiss and lingering dry bitterness. This medium bodied beer is sure to wake you up and make you wonder if you are drinking beer or coffee.
We always love a good experimental brew here at Terrapin, but the salty-sweet combo of peanuts and chocolate has us all salivating a little more than usual. This brew, while smooth and mellow, still manages to challenge your tastebuds. The porter base is dark and smooth, with enough backbone to support the richer chocolate and peanut butter additions. It’s even dry “peanuted” with brewery-boiled green peanuts! Here’s to the candy-loving kid in all of us!
We set a portion of every batch of General Washington's Tavern Porter aside in freshly emptied bourbon barrels shipped straight from Kentucky. There, the beer ages for three months absorbing vanilla, oak and bourbon flavors from the barrel walls. The end result is our Washington's Reserve, a smooth, aromatic porter with hints of dried fruit in the finish and vanilla on the nose.
This robust porter stays true to its British roots with grains and hops chosen to keep with old brewing traditions. Each taste delivers a complex blend of subtle coffee and almond notes with a rich toasty flavor throughout.
