A delicious vanilla porter inspired by the melting pot that is America. Loosely based on an English porter but spiced up with whole vanilla beans from Mexico and Madagascar, it’s a deep, rich brown with a mocha head and plenty of luscious vanilla notes in the nose. The flavors are sweet chocolates, spices and smooth cream with just a hint of hoppy bitterness and enough kick to know this is no ordinary porter.

When Harpoon brewer (and Coffee Club member) Jesse Brenneman teamed up with Mike and LJ from Equal Exchange to brew a coffee porter, cheers rang out through the brewery. The adventure that began on a whim — over coffee and beer, of course — ended up bringing two local companies together in a way that delighted us all: El Triunfo Coffee Porter.

Dark brown with ruby highlights this brew has a deep chocolate flavor backed by a smooth caramel finish. Brewed with English malt and hops for an authentic flavor.

Best With: 
Brown ales typically have a mild hop presence and a subtly sweet, complex malt character that meshes beautifully with honey and tomato based barbecue sauce on all manner of grilled meats. Brown ale also shines with French onion soup, and could even work with a mild cigar.

Very dark brown but not black in colour with a fruity nose. This dark porter tastes fruity with a distinctive bitter after palate.

Originally brewed as 'something different' for a small beer festival. Now a favorite with a number of regulars and a winner of numerous Midland's beer competitions

Best With: 
Porter is an excellent accompaniment to shellfish, particularly steamed oysters and clams. Robust porter and Baltic porter pairs extremely well with chocolate and cream based desserts.

A trademark beer of the Santa Fe Brewing Company’s master brewer, Ty Levis, the State Pen Porter has every reason to be one of his favorites. It is flavorful, swimming with notes of nuts and chocolate; it is drinkable, so drinkable that it is almost as if pint after pint were drinking itself.
