The owner Tom Peters is one of the many people who fell in love years ago with Belgian beer, and one of the few who had the passion and tenacity to learn all about it.

This is our new Haandbakk Vintage 2006 (our sour ale) and it was bottled 22 march 2008.This is an historic moment for us as this is the first time for more than hundred years or much longer that a brewery in Norway has made a sour beer using wild yeast and lactic acid bacteria. This beer was brewed in sept. 06 and has since then been aged in oak barrels until bottling day.The beer is blended for roundness but is still very sour and a little bit acetic. We think our first attempt has been a great success and we will definitely try this again.

Ale brewed with grape must

"A complex beer with great finesse and elegance getting three different souls. The fruity one got hints of strawberries, raspberries and red currant flavors, the ctric-sour one with slight bitter lemony notes and the more tricky one which is characterized of off-flavors to be discovered. Despite the presence of sharp peaks of astringency, a "warming" mouthfeel could be felt after each sip." - By Lorenzo Dabove aka Kuaska

LambruchaTM is a blend of Lambics we select and Kombucha brewed to our specifications. For every batch of LambruchaTM, we must taste and select the Lambics we want to use with the Kombucha produced for us. Lambic and Kombucha are naturally varying products so blending is the essence of how LambruchaTM is made. The Kombucha and Lambic used are living yeast beverages. To our knowledge this is the 1st time 2 living yeast beverages have been combined to create a third, different beverage. For this reason we think LambruchaTM is a truly new drink that combines elements of both Kombucha & Lambic.
