South German-Style Dunkel Weizen/Dunkel Weissbier

Deep amber brown with a dense off-white head, Dunkelweiss rediscovers hefeweissbiers through a Belgian brewer’s lens. Envisioned by our own Matty “Smooth” Gilliland, this beer opens with sweet clove, chocolate and banana notes that give way to a warm finish with a peppery tingle across the palate.

Weathertop Wheat is a dark wheat beer that pours a deep amber with a nice sized tan head. Aroma and flavor are of toffee, (light) honey and dark fruits. Finish is mildly sweet with light bitter hops.

Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse Dunkel wins supporters with its refreshing yet aromatic and full-bodied flavor. This dark, cloudy specialty is a special treat for weiss beer connoisseurs and bock beer aficionados. Deep and dark colored, cloudy with yeast. Brewed with a darker roasted malt which adds some maltiness to the refreshing flavor of the Hefe-Weissbier.

This dark hefeweizen displays a rich, lingering head foam, an amber-hued body, and the subtle aroma of banana and clove. The spicy flavor is enhanced by the silky mouth feel obtained through the use of wheat. The lingering finish yields to subtle roasted malt flavors.
