Wheat beer made with Belgian yeast and northwest hops
"Fiat Lux" literally means "Let there be light".Combining Canadian and American malts with a large proportion of un-malted white winter wheat, Fiat Lux starts with a Belgian witbier inspiration. A blend of Pacific Northwest hops, a little lime peel and a dash of Indian coriander brings a bright blast of citrusy aromatic sunshine, while German Perle hops supply a nice big zap of refreshing bitterness. The yeast used is levure Belgique. The hops used are Cascade, Chinook, Columbus, Centennial, and Perle.
Our latest Brewhouse Rarities release pays tribute to an ancient German beer style that makes the combination of sweet and salty so passé. Introducing Gose, a sour and salty wheat beer brewed with coriander and a Maryland twist.
Gose originated in Northern Germany and takes its name from the river Gose, which is lined by mineral-rich aquifers that give the water a natural salinity. To imitate these traditional brewing waters, we added sea salt to the brew, along with coriander to make it true to style. We also added Old Bay to the brew, giving it a twist only Marylanders can provide.
An American Wheat Ale, Gumballhead is named in honor of the underground comic book cat created by Rob Syers. Initially a seasonal summer beer, now brewed year round due to demand. Brewed with Amarillo Hops and a generous portion of American red wheat, Gumballhead has a complex hop aroma with notes of grapefruit, lemon zest, marmalade and peach.

A stronger version of the Clementine. Sweet orange peel, a hint of Coriander, and Summit hops are still part of the taste, but it is brewed with more malt and at 8% ABV, is a higher alcohol version of the original.
