DARK LAGER

The beer is part of their Cooper limited release series and is a blend of two German styles: Rauchbier, or smoked beer, and Schwarzbier, or black lager.

A Full bodied dark lager with a balance of bitterness of straight forward aromas of pleasant sweetish roasted malt bouquets that extend to the palate. Pours with a creamy, frothy head showing excellent lacing.

Preferred by the discerning set who want to drink a dark lager with a distinct full-bodied flavor, creamy foam and caramel tones.

Made in the German “Stein Bier” tradition, this smooth, robust dark lager is brewed with the addition of glowing hot granite to the kettle.

The addition of these Hot Rocks results in a vigorous “super boil” of sorts that caramelizes the sugars in the wort lending toffee, smoky caramel flavors to the beer that wouldn’t present themselves in a normal boil.

The color is a deep, ruby brown with streak of red and the aroma an incredibly inviting one of dark caramel, chocolate and toffee.
