Excellent malt flavor fronted and followed by German and American Hops, Truly refreshing. Light Gold. Presque Isle and the bay it creates have played many significant roles in the history of Erie and our young nation. The US Government chose this location to build a fleet of ships during the war of 1812 because it formed the only protected harbor on Lake Erie. In 1813, during the battle of Lake Erie, Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry successfully defended Lake Erie against the British with ships that were built on Presque Isle Bay, making a significant mark on the pages of history.

What started as a way for our cellarman to propogate yeast for our summer seasonal Farmer's Tan has taken on a life of its own. Originally brewed as a house draught brand and made in very limited quantities, Eurotrash Pilz is now available in our seasonal lineup. Fitting perfectly between Old Man Winter and Hop Sun, this addition will bridge the gap between winter and the summer months.

Eurotrash Pilz is a lightly carbonated, malty pilsner, and is perfect for sesson drinking at a moderate 5.5% ABV.

Regal Pilsner is a double pilsner that, while brewed similar to a traditional Bohemian pilsner, is produced with American Sterling and Magnum hops, giving the beer an American craft beer flair with a hoppy finish. Brewery Director and Brewmaster, Todd Usry, says, “We chose Sterling hops for its floral aroma over the spiciness of Saaz hops traditionally used in pilsners. The Magnum hops finish the beer with a clean mouthfeel.” At 7% ABV (alcohol by volume), Regal Pilsner is full, yet soft in traditional pilsner style.

Pilsner is one of the world’s most popular beers and there are many interpretations of this style. The great pilsner beers of Germany, specifically Northern Germany, are the inspiration for our second lager - Hans’ Pils. These beers are known for being hoppier than the average pilsner and ours is no exception. In fact, at 52 IBU’s, it is hoppier than many pale ales. The featured hop in this beer is the spicy and herbal Tettnang Tettnanger hop. German pilsner malt yields a pale golden color and provides the perfect support for our blend of German hops.
