Amager wanted to create a beer low in alcohol, but rich in taste and this was the result.

It's brewed with English Mild Ale malt as well as a handful of German caramel malts and then fermented with a German Pilsner yeast.

Product - Hollande 1620
Brewed By:
Bavaria
Self-Defined Style:
Euro Pale Lager
Strength (ABV):
5.0% ABV

A lager beer with a 400 year old tradition. Dutch history records our brewery as early as 1620, in the feudal provonce of Ultrecht. When you next come to our pretty market town of Maarssen, please stop to taste this fine, rich beer at its birthplace, but until then, please enjoy a bottle of my favorite brew, Hollande 1620.

Krait Lower Cal

Product - Krait Light
Brewed By:
Krait
Self-Defined Style:
Premium Light Lager
Strength (ABV):
4.0% ABV

Krait Lower Cal is double-filtered, great tasting and extra smooth but with the added advantage of having fewer calories and fewer carbohydrates.

Best With:
The signature "less gassy" quality of Krait beer enables it to work very well on its own as a session beer, however the subtle carbonation cuts through spicy Indian cuisine remarkably well. Particularly good with tandoori and curry based dishes.

Heineken Premium Light

Substyle - European Low-Alcohol Lager German Leicht(Bier)
Brewed By:
Heineken
Self-Defined Style:
Light Lager
Strength (ABV):
3.0% ABV
Best With:
This German leicht beer works well on its own as an aperitif, but it could also compliment lighter fare such as salad with feta cheese.

Mahr's Leicht

Product - Mahr's Leicht
Brewed By:
Mahr's
Self-Defined Style:
German Leicht (Light)
Strength (ABV):
2.8% ABV

Frankly, we here at Shelton Brothers don't really buy into the low-carb fad, at least as it pertains to beer. The issue in trying to maintain that figure while keeping your favorite bartender solvent is not carbs -- it's alcohol, and those other beers are loaded with it. At only 2.8%, on the other hand, Mahr's Leicht is the perfect beer for the active or weight-conscious drinker who doesn't want to sacrifice flavor. Give this one a try . . . . we think you'll be amazed at how good a low-alcohol beer can be.
