Oude Gueuze is an appellation controlee : its label is protected. It is also known as the champagne of beers, especially as it is only available as a limited edition. Timmermans® Oude Gueuze’s special flavour derives from its time-honoured method of preparation. It is a blend of old lambic, which has been aged for three years in wooden barrels, and young lambic which ensures spontaneous fermentation in the bottle. The different lambics are carefully selected by the brewer to obtain a perfect flavour.

Kriek
Strength (ABV):
6.0% ABV

Cuvée-Brut is a Belgian Kriek created by a very different method than Kriek Lambic. Cuvée-Brutbegins with a Flemish brown ale that has matured on fresh whole cherries for a year. It's then blended with Oud Bruin and Goudenband ales of differing ages. The result is a beautiful, well-balanced, sweet and sour Kriek of great originality and complexity.

Best With:
The delightful tart quality of these beers enables them to work well as an aperitif, however they pair beautifully with tart desserts such as sour cherry pie, or strawberry rhubarb crisp.

Its flavour is entirely dedicated to the cherry, which is already felt from it very powerful nose. Its acidity is neutralised by its agreeably sweet and fruity bouquet. Its taste advances profoundly in the mouth and lingers long, gently and also elegantly tinted with summer cherries.
