While going to school in the shadow of one of the largest breweries in North America in Golden, Colorado I thought brewing beer was an overwhelming task that required fancy equipment and large buildings. It wasn't until I traveled an hour north and toured the New Belgium Brewery that sparked my interest in the variety of beers there were in the world. It took graduating and a move away from home to a smaller city with a large taste for craft beer before I was brave enough to try brewing a beer for myself. I am still very inexperienced in brewing my own but I have enjoyed what I have created so far. While trying to perfect my own craft I am trying to taste as much as time allows. Most of my beer tasting adventures belong to the Colorado front range and the Big Sky state. Four micro brews within walking distance of each other and a homebrew shop right in the mix. Is this real life?
