Summary

Jeff Ortmann was the Chef di Cucina at Due Terre Enotecca in Bernardsville, New Jersey for the past three years. Coming from a predominately French style background Jeff quickly refined his cooking techniques through the tutelage of Michael White and Chef Bill Dorler. Being a true “Jersey Boy” Jeff has kept his culinary career close to home. His career started at Mariques French Restaurant in Mendham and blossomed from there.
Moving onto Pierre’s Wine Bar and Bistro Jeff further honed his culinary skill. Always looking to learn and improve his skills Jeff moved on to work at such places as The Pluckemin, which earned a Four Star review from the Star Ledger and an excellent review from the New York Times. For the next few years Jeff went on to open several restaurants in the area, Equus, Tabor Road Tavern and Stone Ridge just to name a few.
In his spare time, Jeff enjoys dining out with his wife who was a chef for fifteen years, manages the front of the house at Due Terre and is his real driving force and motivation. Continually trying to improve his skill and knowledge, Jeff keeps his finger on the pulse of the industry by submersing himself with the latest books and culinary publications.
